Abbey has been competing in agility for 4 years and has really turned into an awesome
little agility competitor. She competes in all Masters level classes with the AAC. In
June 2008, Abbey achieved her Agility Trial Champion of Canada (ATChC) title. She
is the first Wire Fox Terrier to ever achieve this title!
Abbey competed in two CKC trials in 2007, and earns her Novice Agility Title (AgN)
and her Novice Jumpers with Weaves (AgNJ). Abbey has started competing more
regularly in CKC this year and has already earned her Intermediate Jumpers title.
Abbey has competed in the Ontario Regionals for the past 3 years qualifying for the
2006, 2007 and 2008 Nationals. She travelled to Burnaby, BC in 2006 where she had
an awesome showing in our first ever National event. She had 3 perfect runs, missing
out on 6th place in Standard 1 by less than 1 second! She went into that competition
ranked 29th and finished 12th place overall. I couldn't have been more proud of her :)
This year Abbey placed 7th overall at the Ontario Regionals with a points total of
439.95! This is the most points she has ever achieved and she keeps getting better.
Abbey will be heading to Sussex, New Brunswick in August to compete in the 2008
Nationals.

Abbey is our 5 year old CKC Registered Wire Fox Terrier. We decided after our
boxer passed away that we needed a small dog that wanted to play. We sure got what
we were looking for and more! Abbey wanted to play every waking second. She would
follow Rick around with a ball or tuggy expecting him to play. We decided doggy
daycare was the way to go for this very rambunctious terrier. It was at the daycare
"GrandPaws" in Edmonton, Alberta that we found agility. Abbey and I started taking
lessons in late 2003 and did our first trial in August 2004. The rest is history, this
dog LOVES the game of agility.

swimming. If left to her, she would never come back on land which is
why she has to wear a lifejacket! She figures this is a small price to
pay to get to swim all day. This year Abbey learned to dive off the
dock. She competed in her first Dock Dogs fun match earning the
"shortest dive" award :( but it was for a dive of 4'8"..pretty good
for a tiny terrier I think!
